Vidro e Corte is a song by the Brazilian singer and composer Milton Nascimento, who is credited as its sole writer. Its original recording appeared in 1985 on the album Encontros e Despedidas, released by Barclay, on which guitarist Pat Metheny is featured on this track. The song is the fourth track on the album's second side. Encontros e Despedidas followed a run of Nascimento's albums that began with Sentinela in 1980, then Caçador de Mim in 1981, Anima in 1982 and the live album Ao Vivo in 1983. The recording is classed in the Latin category and in the MPB style, the Brazilian popular music tradition with which Nascimento is associated. The form, key, feel and reception of the song are not documented beyond these facts.
