"All By Myself" is a song with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, published in 1921. It was introduced in The Music Box Revue of 1922. The first recording was a single by Frank Crumit, made on 21 April 1921. Several recordings from the same year were popular, including versions by Ted Lewis, Aileen Stanley, Benny Krueger's Orchestra, Vaughn De Leath and Ben Selvin, whose recording featured vocals by Ernest Hare.
Later recordings include Bing Crosby's version, performed with Joan Caulfield in the 1946 film Blue Skies, and versions by Ella Fitzgerald (1958), Bobby Darin and Nat King Cole (both 1962), Nancy Sinatra (1966) and Martha Wainwright (2011, used in Boardwalk Empire). The song is listed as jazz and is sung in English. In the 1933 short Is My Palm Read, Betty Boop sings part of it.
