“Let Her Go” is a song by English singer-songwriter Passenger, recorded in 2012 at Linear Recording in Sydney and co-produced by Passenger, credited as Mike Rosenberg, with Chris Vallejo. Released on 24 July 2012 as the second single from Passenger’s fourth album, All the Little Lights, the recording features Australian musicians Stu Larsen, Georgia Mooney, Stu Hunter, Cameron Undy and Glenn Wilson.
The song became a sleeper hit after early success in the Netherlands, then reached number one in numerous countries, including Australia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. It reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and number five on the US Billboard Hot 100, while topping Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart. By July 2014, it had sold more than one million digital copies in the UK and four million in the US. It received a 2014 Brit Award nomination for British Single of the Year and won the Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work. Passenger released a tenth-anniversary remix featuring Ed Sheeran in 2023.
