"La Camarde" is an instrumental gypsy jazz tune written and recorded by the French jazz guitarist Romane, who was born in 1959 and is credited as its sole writer. The earliest recording found is Romane's own version from 1998, which appears on his album Samois-Sur-Seine (1998) under the listing "Camarde", with writing credit to Romane and a length of 2:12. The track was later included on the album Impair & Valse, released in 1999.
The tune is played in the Romane gypsy swing style and runs for around two minutes, which makes it a short piece in that idiom. Its earliest known version is the 1998 recording, and the track returned on Impair & Valse the following year, so it remained part of his output in the late 1990s.
