"Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe" was written, recorded and produced by Barry White and released in 1974 as the first single from his third album, Can't Get Enough, on 20th Century Records. The B-side was "Just Not Enough". The album version runs 4:31, while the single edit runs 3:28. The record opens with White speaking over the intro. Described as Philadelphia soul and proto-disco, the song topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and the R&B chart, White's second US chart-topper after "Love's Theme" and his first as a solo act. It also reached number 8 in the UK, 5 in Canada, 12 to 13 in the Netherlands and 23 in Australia, and earned gold status in the US, UK and Spain. It became one of White's signature tunes, and he performed it on The Midnight Special in 1974 and on Soul Train in 1975. Taylor Dayne's 1993 cover, produced by David Cole and Robert Clivillés of C+C Music Factory, reached No. 20 on the Hot 100 and No. 2 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart.
