"You Won't Forget Me" is a jazz vocal ballad with music by Fred Spielman and lyrics by Kermit Goell. Written in the early 1950s, it was introduced in 1953 in the MGM film Torch Song, a drama starring Joan Crawford. Its lyrics are in English. The original recording was made by Helen Merrill on 21 October 1955 and released in February 1956 on the album Helen Merrill with Strings, issued by EmArcy. Later recordings include versions by Toni Fisher (1963), Shirley Horn (1991), whose album of the same name takes its title from the song, Abbey Lincoln and Hank Jones (1994), Carly Simon (1997) and Melody Gardot (2020). Both men are credited as composers of the song.
