"Get Me to the Church on Time" is a song by Frederick Loewe, with lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, written in 1956 for the musical My Fair Lady. It was introduced on stage by Stanley Holloway in the role of Alfred P. Doolittle, and the original performance featured Holloway, Gordon Dilworth, Rod McLennan and the cast. It belongs to the musical theatre tradition. Notable recordings include the version by André Previn and Shelly Manne, issued on their 1956 album My Fair Lady; a 1956 radio recording by Bing Crosby, issued in 2009; and a 1956 version by Julius La Rosa, the only one of these to reach the Billboard chart, where it peaked at number 89. Later versions and parodies include Oscar the Grouch's "I'm Getting Married in the Trash Can" on Sesame Street, a 1975 performance with The Pointer Sisters on The Carol Burnett Show, the finale of the first series of Gavin & Stacey in 2007, David Bowie's "Modern Love" from 1983, which interpolates the song, and the series finale of The Time Traveler's Wife in 2022.
