"La Bikina" is a Mexican song with Spanish lyrics, widely performed in the mariachi and ranchera genres. Rubén Fuentes, a Mexican composer and violinist (1926-2022), is credited as its writer, and the song is dated to 1964. Its origins are disputed. Some accounts attribute the lyrics to Imelda Miller, Fuentes's partner at the time, while Fuentes says he wrote them himself, and some credit his son Alexandro F. Roth. One account holds that Fuentes first wrote an instrumental given to Juan García Esquivel, titled "The Beginning", later garbled into "La Bikina". No original recording is established. The sheet music is in G.
Notable recordings include versions by Marco Antonio Muñiz, Lucha Villa, María de Lourdes, Celia Cruz with Memo Salamanca's orchestra (1971), Paul Mauriat's orchestra, Luis Miguel, Raphael and Karol Sevilla, whose version was made for the film Coco. The song was also the main theme of the animated series Cantinflas Show.
