"Someday My Prince Will Come" is a song with music by Frank Churchill and lyrics by Larry Morey, written for Walt Disney's animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). In the film it is sung by Adriana Caselotti, the voice of Snow White, and her original recording is dated 19 January 1938. Disney asked Churchill to write something "quaint", and the resulting song has an unusual chord structure that made it popular with jazz musicians; after the film it became a jazz standard. It is typically played in B-flat major. The Ghetto Swingers performed it in Theresienstadt in 1943, and Dave Brubeck recorded it on Dave Digs Disney (1957). Miles Davis named a 1961 album after it, and other versions were recorded by Bill Evans (1960), Wynton Kelly (1961), Oscar Peterson and Milt Jackson (1971), Herbie Hancock (1978), Barbra Streisand (2001) and Anastacia (2002). The American Film Institute ranked it 19th in its 100 Years...100 Songs list.
