"Pearls" is a song performed by Sade Adu and written by Sade Adu and Andrew Hale. It was first released on the album Love Deluxe, issued by Epic Records on 26 October 1992 in the United Kingdom and in November 1992 in the United States. The album was recorded in 1992 at Condulmer in Venice, Ridge Farm in Surrey, The Hit Factory in London and Image Recording in Los Angeles, by Sade Adu, Stuart Matthewman, Paul Denman and Andrew Hale.
Love Deluxe moved away from live drumming toward a programmed, lush production that blends R&B, ambient and cool jazz. Later versions include one by Angélique Kidjo featuring Carlos Santana and Josh Groban, one by Kandace Springs featuring Avishai Cohen, and an instrumental version by David Sanborn. Adrienne West has also recorded the song.
