"O Trem Azul" is a song with music by Lô Borges and lyrics by Ronaldo Bastos. Lô Borges recorded it in 1972 for the double album Clube da Esquina, released in March of that year by EMI-Odeon, where it is the third track. The album is credited to Milton Nascimento and Lô Borges and was recorded in November 1971 at Piratininga Beach in Niterói and at the Odeon Studios in Rio de Janeiro. The song opens with a simple guitar accompaniment. Jonathon Grasse calls it a jazzy, pop rock hit with a feel-good air and almost psychedelic images, and Paulo Thiago de Mello likened it to the Beatles' "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". Clube da Esquina was commercially successful, was later acclaimed, and is listed in 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. Later versions include those by Tom Jobim with Banda Nova (1989), Flávio Venturini (1998) and Samuel Rosa with Lô Borges (2016).
