Nostalgia in Times Square is a composition by Charles Mingus, listed as instrumental. Mingus wrote it, together with "Alice's Wonderland", for the 1959 John Cassavetes film Shadows, as part of a complete soundtrack, but most of his music was replaced in the final film. Mingus recorded the piece on 16 January 1959 at the Nonagon Art Gallery, and United Artists released it in September 1959 on the album Jazz Portraits, later reissued as Jazz Portraits: Mingus in Wonderland. A partial reconstruction of the soundtrack appeared in 2015 as Shadows. A reworked version with vocals by Honi Gordon, titled "Strollin'" and originally called "Nostalgia in Times Square", was recorded during the 1959 Mingus Dynasty sessions and included as a bonus track on reissues. The song was never a major part of Mingus's own repertoire, but it has become a jazz standard, widely performed and recorded. Medeski Martin & Wood often play it in a medley with Sun Ra's "Angel Race", and the Mingus Big Band included it on a 1993 album.
