"Undecided" is a swing era jazz standard with music by Charlie Shavers and lyrics by Sid Robin, published in 1938. The song is sung in English. Its first recording was made by John Kirby and His Onyx Club Boys on October 28, 1938, for Decca, with "From A Flat to C" on the B-side. Chick Webb and his Orchestra, with a vocal by Ella Fitzgerald, recorded it on February 17, 1939, for Decca, and the Dandridge Sisters issued a cover the same year.
The biggest hit came in 1951, when The Ames Brothers recorded it with Les Brown's orchestra for Coral, released on June 25, 1951. That version reached number 6 on the Billboard chart and stayed there for 20 weeks. Other notable recordings include Gene Ammons's 1951 bebop treatment, versions by Billy May (1955), Harry James (1960) and Al Hirt (1961), and Natalie Cole's 1993 recording.
