Souvenirs is an instrumental gypsy jazz and swing standard in the key of A, with no lyrics. It is credited to Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, although some listings credit Reinhardt alone. The original recording was made by the Quintet of the Hot Club of France, with Reinhardt and Grappelli in the lineup, on 31 January 1938 in London. The piece is listed under the styles gypsy jazz, swing and jazz.
The tune has been recorded many times since. Among the later versions is one by Reinhardt alone, dating from the 1990s. As a standard of the gypsy jazz and swing repertoire, it is performed by groups and soloists who work in that tradition, and it continues to be played in its original instrumental form.
