Terra Nova is an instrumental jazz composition by the guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel, who is its sole credited composer. It is an original piece rather than a standard, and it has no lyrics. The known recording was made by the Kurt Rosenwinkel Group on 21 March 2008 and appears as track 2 on the second disc of The Remedy (Live at the Village Vanguard). That album is a two-CD live recording released in 2008, made at the Village Vanguard in New York and classed under jazz and contemporary jazz. The album thus preserves a live performance of the piece by Rosenwinkel's own group. A later version was recorded live in Genova in 2012, with John Scofield and Rosenwinkel both playing guitar.
