“Tiger Rag” is credited to H. De Costa and appears in a Louis Armstrong recording lasting one minute and 25 seconds on the 1993 British CD compilation of the same name. Issued by Musketeer, the collection brings together jazz performances in ragtime, swing and Dixieland styles. “Tiger Rag” is the fifth of its eighteen tracks, placed between “Crede Jazz” and “Perdido,” and is the shortest performance included.
The compilation places the piece alongside Armstrong recordings of “Basin Street Blues,” “Struttin’ With Some Barbeque,” “St. Louis Blues” and “When the Saints Go Marching In,” as well as “Autumn Leaves” and “Mack the Knife.” The same collection also appeared under the title Saint Louis Blues in CD editions released in 1990 and cassette editions released in 1990 and 1991.
