"A Saucerful of Secrets" is an instrumental by Pink Floyd, released in 1968 as the title track of the album of the same name. It has no lyrics, and its only vocals are wordless. The piece was planned in advance: Roger Waters and Mason drew an architectural diagram of how the music should progress, setting out its stages before the band performed it. The diagram governs the order in which the music moves from one stage to the next, so the track unfolds as a designed sequence rather than as a song built around verses and a chorus. As the title track, it also gives the album its central piece.
