"Prism" is an instrumental composition by Keith Jarrett, who is its sole writer. It was part of his European quartet repertoire in the late 1970s. The best-known studio version is track 3, running 6:31, on the album Changes, recorded in January 1983 at the Power Station in New York and released by ECM in September 1984 (ECM 1276). That recording features Jarrett with Gary Peacock on bass and Jack DeJohnette on drums, as the Standards Trio, and was produced by Manfred Eicher. Two 1979 recordings by the European quartet were released later, on Personal Mountains (1989) and Sleeper (2012). AllMusic's Scott Yanow calls it "the more concise" piece and praises its "a beautiful melody". It is generally described as a concise, ballad-like performance.
