I Love Paris is a 1953 popular song written by Cole Porter and introduced by Lilo as La Mome in the Broadway musical Can-Can. It is a Paris-loving show tune that has been widely recorded, with early versions by Les Baxter and Bing Crosby; Crosby's take appears on the 1954 album Bing Sings the Hits, and Michel Legrand released an orchestral version on his 1954 album I Love Paris. Caterina Valente's German version Ganz Paris träumt von der Liebe sold over 900,000 copies in 1954, and Ella Fitzgerald later included the song in her 1956 Cole Porter Song Book. Frank Sinatra sang it on the Can-Can film soundtrack (1960) and re-recorded it that year; a line from the lyrics inspired the title of the 1964 film Paris When It Sizzles. Genre: show tune / pop.
