"My Romance" is a popular jazz standard with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Lorenz Hart, the songwriting team behind many Broadway shows. It was written for Billy Rose's 1935 Broadway musical Jumbo and was introduced on stage by Gloria Grafton and Donald Novis, with the first performance on 16 November 1935. Doris Day performed it in the 1962 film version of Jumbo.
Notable later versions include those by the Dave Brubeck Quartet (1952), Bill Evans (1961), Ben Webster with Hank Jones (1962) and Art Blakey with Keith Jarrett (1966). Further well-known recordings were made by Tuck & Patti (1988), Carly Simon (1990), Chris Botti (2004) and Aaron Tveit (2013).
