"Minch Valse" is a gypsy jazz waltz by the French guitarist and composer Pierre "Baro" Ferret (1908-1976), who is credited as its composer. It is an instrumental lasting about two minutes. The song is track 6 on the 1966 Disques Vogue LP Swing Valses D'Hier Et D'Aujourd'hui, an album whose style is gypsy jazz. The recording dates from Paris in 1965 and 1966.
Ferret was a sideman of Django Reinhardt from 1931 and recorded around 80 sides with him. His brother Jean "Matelo" Ferret had introduced him to Reinhardt. Ferret's "valses bebop", which mixed musette with modern jazz, were described as years ahead of their time.
